AT&T Ups Its iPhone 16 Upgrade Deal to Include Trade-Ins of Old iPhones in Any Condition

AT&T is increasing its iPhone-In-In-in fares to better compete with Verizon and T-Mobile. Starting Friday, the carrier is expanding its deals so that those with older iPhones can trade them with Apple’s latest models, regardless of the condition of their existing devices.

The operator has confirmed to CNET that it is launching a new promotion that will provide users with new promotions iPhone 16 Pro If they trade on the iPhone 13 Pro (or later) and on the iPhone 12 or later phone, they can get a $830 discount, or a 128GB price for the base model iPhone 16.

Those with older devices can go back to the original iPhone and get a $350 discount on purchases of new Apple phones.

“From February 7, new and existing customers can get up to $1,000 discounts in the iPhone 16 Pro with the iPhone 13 Pro or any future circumstances,” an AT&T spokesperson said.

The offer is open to new and existing users, which have one of the carrier’s unlimited plans. Those looking to upgrade do not need to make the carrier’s cheapest plan, although its cheapest unlimited plan (Value Plus VL) fails.

News of the new deal leaked Wednesday x User Technology Life Channel.

Phone upgrade offers are usually limited to the “good condition” of the phone, with features on and no significant damage, such as rupture of the back, swelling of the battery, or damage to the screen. Extending to “any condition” could provide a compelling incentive for those with bankruptcy equipment to upgrade with AT&T and continue to sign for three years.

Like other operator quotes, the new transaction will require you to register a 36-month installment plan from the carrier and make the credit for transactions monthly during this period. Leaving the carrier before 36 months will let you hang the balance owed on the device.

AT&T has long offered “any condition” deals for Samsung’s higher-priced Galaxy phones, including new ones Galaxy S25 OK, but that marks the first time the iPhone has done so.

Verizon and T-Mobile previously offered similar “any condition” deals, including iPhones, but these offers often require changes to higher-priced plans. For Verizon, that means moving to its most expensive Unlimited Ultimate Plan and moving to T-Mobile’s next option to convert to the most expensive GO5G.
