Denver Broncos President Damani Leech praises NFL diversity commitment | Global News Avenue

Denver Broncos Chairman Damani Leech

Denver Broncos President Damani praised the NFL’s commitment to diversity in the company and government’s efforts to reduce diversity, equity and inclusive recruitment practices.

Leech is one of four African-American presidents on the NFL team.

“I think we’ve been hired in the last three to four years,” Leech told CNBC Sport from Radio Row in New Orleans before Super Bowl Lix. “So, I think the league is making a lot of progress there.”

Earlier this week, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell support Alliance inclusive recruitment practices, such as Rooney Rules – a policy developed in 2003 that requires teams to interview some coaching and executive positions for minority candidates.

“I see diversity as a weapon,” Leech said. “I think you’re trying to get the best talent in the room, whether it’s on the court or off the court. We’re trying to get the best talent no matter where you come from.
