False video claims celebrities were ‘paid’ by USAID to visit Ukraine
A video claims that the US government’s main overseas aid agency, the United States Agency for International Development, has paid millions of dollars to Hollywood celebrities to visit Ukraine, became popular on social media and was well received by Elon Musk and others. Highlighted accounts expanded.
However, the clip is not real and has a sign of Russian disinformation actions that the BBC has previously investigated.
