Grenfell Tower to be demolished, bereaved families told
The BBC understands that Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner said at a meeting with relatives and survivors that the government has decided to demolish Grenfelt Tower.
In June 2017, 72 people died when a tower in western London caught fire.
The decision is a debate on the coming years of the 24-storey tower, with some hoping it will remain present as a reminder of the tragedy, while others hope it will be replaced by a new memorial.
The official announcement of the government is expected to be announced on Friday.
