The Annika: Briton Charley Hull leads by one shot heading into final round
England’s Charlie Hull will take a one-shot lead heading into the final day of the LPGA Annika Championship in Florida after shooting a two-under 68 in the third round.
The 28-year-old birdied two holes on the front nine, then had three birdies and three bogeys on the mixed back nine to finish at 12 under.
China’s Zhang Weiwei and American Nellie Korda finished one shot behind Hull at the Pelican Golf Club in Bellaire.
World number one Korda finished strongly with a 3-under 67 to cut Hull’s overnight lead to one shot, while Zhang shot an 8-under 62. Soaring up the leaderboard.
Zhang’s round was his lowest of the tournament so far, with nine birdies and one bogey.
Korda is a three-time winner of the event, which is named in honor of Swedish ten-time major champion Annika Sorenstam.
Thailand’s Wichanee Meechai and South Korea’s Jin Hee Im were two strokes behind Koda and Zhang in the 68th round.
