“Targeted” shooting in Ohio warehouse leaves 1 dead, 5 hospitalized, authorities say
Authorities said one person died late Tuesday night at a warehouse in Columbus, Ohio, and five more people were taken to the hospital.
New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones told reporters earlier Wednesday that an interested person was found but has not been detained. He said there was no threat from anyone nearby.
The city said police responded to the active shooter situation at KDC/One (Cosmetics Company) by 11 p.m.
Jones said some were “self-evacuating” when officers arrived, while the rest of the personnel in the “building” were evacuated to another nearby building, with a total of about 150. He told CBS News earlier that he used drones to help clean them up.
Jones said the shooting was “a tragedy” and no one thought it would happen in New Albany.
