During the tour, the delegation checked the main infrastructure projects including tourism and protection plans, and facilities designed to support local economic activities and environmental sustainability. Discussing the strategic vision of IDC for these islands as the center, emphasizing the balance between economic development and protecting the fragile ecosystem of Seychelles. This visit also allows the president to officially introduce the new CEO and members of the board of directors to the IDC staff and resort stationed on the island.
President Ramkalawan reiterated the government’s commitment to the responsible island development, praising IDC employees to be committed to sustainable growth, while retaining the natural beauty of the Outer Island of Seychelles. He encouraged the government, and continued to cooperate between IDC and main interests to ensure the long -term feasibility of these island projects.
This visit marks an important step in strengthening the governance and supervision of the IDC plan, which enhances the role of Seychel’s outer island in the national and economic progress of the country, while maintaining environmental sustainability.
