Ezra Group Powers Ahead With Renewable Energy In South Sudan
South Sudan celebrates its first major renewable energy project, marking the country’s milestone to transition to sustainable power.
The EZRA Group is a leading commercial group that announced the successful launch of 20 MW (MW) solar power plants and 14 MWH (MWH) battery energy storage system (BESS) in South Sudan. Ezra Construction and Development Group LTD. internally developed and financed internally, the project represents the country’s first official renewable energy source.
Gentopolo’s launch activity has attracted much attention from VIPs, including vice president of infrastructure cluster in South Sudan, Taban Deng Gai; Energy and Dam Minister Han. Peter Marcello Nasir Jelenge; Deputy Minister of Energy and Dam Department, Sultan Lam Tungwar Kueigwong; Paulino Lorduku, deputy governor of the Central Equator; Yohannes Teklemichael.
This project is an important step in reducing carbon emissions, reducing electricity prices and providing cleaning for the South Sudan people. It not only supports the country’s environmental goals, but also enhances the energy burden and availability of local residents.
The 20 MW of solar power plants can provide sufficient electricity for Juba’s up to 16,000 households, which greatly reduces energy costs and enhances the reliability of power grids. Energy generated by the attached BESS storage by solar power plants can be achieved to achieve the reliability of demand power, stabilize mesh and enhance the reliability of renewable energy. This transformation technology uses senior Huawei components, including intelligent inverters, intelligent Transformers (STS) and intelligent recorders to ensure efficient and sustainable energy solutions.
EZRA Group’s chief operating officer Natnael Ghebrengus Ezra expressed his gratitude to government partners for the valuable support in the event, “If there is no firm support for energy and dam, our success is impossible. Your vision and leadership ability will help to promote advance South Sudan reliable renewable energy. ”
He added: “This project is not just a milestone in infrastructure. It is a symbol of our realization of the purpose. We have laid the foundation for the more bright, cleaner, and more prosperous future. Innovation and sustainability.
Partnership promotes progress
Through strategic cooperation with major partners, the success of the project has become possible:
- South Sudan Electric Power Corporation (SSEC) and Energy and Dam Ministry: These regulators supervise South Sudan’s power generation, transmission and distribution. They played a vital role in approval and promoting renewable energy into the national power grid.
- JUBA Electric Power Distribution Company (Jedco): The public -private partnership between Ezra Group and SSEC, Jedco is the major power distributor of the Juba public. He has obtained a lot of energy from Ezra Construction & Development Group.
Renewable energy extension plan
This solar power plant accounts for 19 % of the total energy distributed by Jedco and supplements the existing thermal power plant. However, in order to ensure reliability and long -term sustainability, other renewable energy sources such as Nisitu solar power plants owned by the government are essential for supplementary thermal output.
The Estra Architecture and Development Team are still committed to exploring more clean and cost -effective power alternative solutions. The organization’s continuous efforts aim to further reduce energy costs and expand renewable energy solutions to benefit more communities in the entire Sudan.
