Stuttgart v PSG: 59 French ‘hooligans’ arrested before Champions League match
The German police arrested 59 French “hooligans” before Wednesday’s Stugart and Paris Saint -Germain Champions League.
Bundesliga Club Stuttgart host LIGUE 1 PSG, and the two teams are still competing for improved league playoffs.
Police said they had a “targeted check” at the railway station and hotel after discovering a planned conflict between fans.
Baning orders have also been issued to 47 Stuttgart fans to prevent them from participating in games or entering the city center.
Carsten Hoefler, Vice President of Stuttgart Police, said: “Anyone who has committed violent crimes to Stuttgart will be eliminated.”
In order to prevent any risk of any conflict on the night of the game, the 59 French people will be detained on Thursday.
In a statement, Police Stuttgart said: “Through intensive investigations and closely cooperated with the Parisian police, French hooligans were discovered at the major railway stations and various hotels in Stuttgart.”
“In addition to other, it was also found to cover the materials. In order to prevent serious riots, the Paris hooligan was detained until the end of Wednesday, until Thursday morning, after consulting with the judge.”
Both Stuttgart and PSG entered the final fixed device at the group stage with 10 points.
