President Ruto Calls for Diplomacy as DRC Conflict Escalates

William Ruto, President of Kenya, emphasized that diplomacy is the only feasible solution for the continuous upgrading of Democratic Republics (DRC) of the Congo. When Loto delivered a speech on Monday, he described the situation in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo as “very complicated” and regarded military intervention as invalid. His comments were after the claims of the M23 rebels supported by Rwanda, and captured the rebels of GOMA, the largest city GOMA in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Earlier, the Congo force and its allies were unavailable. The conflict caused international concern, and the UN Security Council called on the rebels to withdraw. Kinshasa (Kinshasa) called the rebels’ advancement of the “War Declaration” of Rwanda, which was disconnected with its neighbors of East Africa. At the same time, despite the United Nations evidence, Kigali denied supporting rebels, but it was attributed to the conflict upgrade of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Ruto, the chairman of the East Africa Community, convened an emergency meeting to resolve the crisis.
