Oscar nominations to be announced today for 2025 Academy Awards
Nominations for the 97th Academy Awards will be announced Thursday morning Delayed twice because Los Angeles area wildfires.

“Emilia Perez” won four Golden Globes earlier this month, including best motion picture musical or comedy and best supporting actress for Zoe Saldana. “The Fauves” is a 215-minute epic film about Holocaust survivors who immigrated to the United States after World War II. Another Golden Globe winner is expected to be nominated for an Academy Award on Thursday morning: Demi MooreHer performance in the gory horror film “Material” sparked discussion about the industry’s mistreatment of women her age. Both Moore and the film itself are expected to be nominated in the top Oscar categories.
When are the Oscars held?
Nominations were originally scheduled for January 17, but like many other industry awards shows traditionally scheduled for January on Hollywood’s social calendar, Wildfire spreads Los Angeles-area organizers scrambled to reschedule.
