Shettima was speaking at the “Co-Creating Roadmap for Investment Opportunities in Africa’s Frontier Markets” forum on the sidelines of the 2025 World Economic Forum in Davos, highlighting the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), Calabar-Lagos Coastal Expressway and the West African Gas Pipeline are examples of forward-looking projects that show Africa is ready for foreign investment. Furthermore, Shettima assured the audience that Nigeria, under the leadership of President Bola Tinubu, is committed to creating a conducive investment environment. Finally, he countered negative perceptions of Africa, likening Africa’s potential to the awakening of its global importance as a “sleeping giant.”
