Cardiff boss Omer Riza charged by FA with south Wales derby misconduct
Cardiff City manager Omar Riza has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association after he was sent off against Welsh rivals Swansea City.
At the last minute of the Cardiff City game, Riza was sent off with a red card. 3-0 to win the championship after a touchline altercation with Swansea midfielder Goncalo Franco.
He was also accused of court encroachment.
An FA spokesman said: “Cardiff City player Omar Riza has been charged with misconduct following the EFL Championship match against Swansea City on Saturday 18 January.
“It is alleged that the head coach behaved inappropriately and/or confrontationally in or around the 92nd minute and after being sent off.”
Riza has until Friday, January 24 to respond.
