Kerolin: Manchester City sign Brazil forward from North Carolina Courage
Manchester City has signed Brazilian forward Crolin from the North Carolina Courage for an undisclosed fee.
The 25-year-old has made 45 appearances for the club and has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract.
She is the third player City have signed in the January transfer window, following Rebecca Knack and Em Oshan.
Crolin, who won a silver medal with Brazil at last year’s Paris Olympics, was named the 2023 National Women’s Soccer League Most Valuable Player.
“I’m happy to be here,” she said. “I chose Manchester City for many reasons, one of which was to play in the Champions League.
“I think the players in the (Women’s Super League) are very skilled and the team is compact. I want to get better, learn different things and come here to take on the challenge.”
Therese Sjogran, Manchester City’s director of women’s football, said: “At just 25 years old, Coralin comes to Manchester City with a wealth of experience and a real desire and desire to take her game to the next level.
“Crolin is creative, quick and will add more firepower to our forward line. We have a common goal to be the best not only in England but in Europe.”
Manchester City are fourth, nine points behind leaders Chelsea.
They face Manchester United for the second time in four days in the WSL Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday.
