Disney Lorcana’s First Original Character Is Here and I Am Stoked
In my opinion, Disney and Ravensburger have become one of them. best game Last year, it even surpassed Magic: The Gathering to give you the most fun you can have with trading cards. At the London Toy Fair on Tuesday, Ravnsborg not only announced Group Seven, but also gave us a sneak peek at Groups Eight and Nine.
Episode seven, titled The Island of Archazia, is the first original character created for Lorcana. We don’t know much about the Archazia, other than they have a really cool bird mask and live on an island, but the fact that Disney has created an entirely new character for the trading card game is exciting. I’m looking forward to learning more about Archazia and her realm when episode seven is released in March.
In addition to the new character and location settings, Seven is also bringing a new starter pack, card sleeves, game mats, and a standard collection of treasures for you to purchase. The play mat showcases artwork from The Six and Tigger, while the card sleeve features artwork from Cinderella and Ursula.
The starter decks for set seven are the Ruby/Sapphire deck, showcasing Beauty and the Beast, and the Steel/Amethyst deck, featuring Jafar and Iago. The art for Beauty the Inventor and Beast with the Monocle is so awesome that it makes me want to buy a Ruby/Sapphire deck immediately.
Looking to the future
Ravnsborg also gave us a sneak peek at what’s in store for seasons eight and nine, titled “The Reign of Jafar” and “Fables,” respectively. “His crown, his kingdom” is the catchphrase of “The Reign of Ja’far,” where Ravnsborg tells us that Ja’far took over the island of Agia and attempted to establish it as his kingdom. I’m excited to see that Archazia will be a continuing theme throughout Lorcana, even after the seventh set.
Fable only has a poster, but it already looks like a cross between classic Disney and a Disneyland carousel. Will it be a fantasy land theme? We don’t know, but I’m already obsessed with the old world look.
Archazia’s Island will be released in March, followed by Reign of Ja’far in June and Fable sometime in the third quarter of 2025. If you haven’t gotten into Lorcana yet, now might be the right time. pick up Lokana Gateway If you’ve never played the game before, this is the easiest way to get started.
