Six Nations: Wales to play under closed Principality Stadium roof for next two years
The WRU also said both home games in the 2025 Six Nations will be played at the Cardiff ground to sell-out crowds of up to 74,000.
Ireland visit the Welsh capital on Saturday 22 February (14:15 GMT) before Warren Gatland’s side face off on Saturday 15 March (16:45 GMT) England.
WRU chief executive Abi Tierney said: “Selling out both of our home games is an achievement and reflects another exciting Guinness Six fixture at the world-famous Principality Stadium The excitement before the national competition.”
“The demand for both senior men’s home games is huge, which is a fantastic achievement and reflects the passion and belief Welsh rugby fans have in this team.
“The Principality Stadium is one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world and our retractable roof is one of our most unique features, allowing us to create a stunning atmosphere during the 2025 Six Nations. The match day experience is more vivid.”
Wales begin their Six Nations campaign against France in Paris on Friday, January 31, before facing Italy in Rome eight days later.
The team, who are winless in the league in 2024, are bottom of the table and have lost a record 12 international games, will also travel to Scotland for their final home game against England on Saturday, March 8 Before.
