Namibia’s first maritime museum, NMM, opens on November 1, 2024 and is one of the largest maritime museums in Africa. Located in the historic old power station of Lüderitz, this 2,000 square meter space showcases Namibia’s rich maritime heritage through ancient ships, fossils, maps, shark skeletons, antiques and artwork. The museum also houses a vast library and unique treasures highlighting the region’s maritime history.
