Ministry of Information of Eritrea

The Ministry of Education held an activity evaluation meeting from January 16 to 17 to review the achievements and challenges faced in 2024 and outline an action plan for 2025.

The meeting report showed that the distribution of teaching materials was completed on schedule, student promotion activities were carried out smoothly, technical and vocational training was carried out regularly, and inspection and monitoring activities were carried out smoothly.

The 2025 action plan includes implementing a comprehensive adult education programme, reviewing the curriculum, providing textbooks and installing solar systems in schools in remote areas.

Representatives at the meeting held extensive discussions on the report and adopted recommendations, including solving the problem of human resource shortages, establishing well-equipped vocational training centers, solving the shortage of native language teachers, and conducting regular teacher capacity improvement training.

Mr. Petros Hailemariam, representative of the Ministry of Education, spoke at the event and stressed the importance of addressing existing challenges in the teaching and learning process, strengthening environmental protection efforts and resolving administrative bottlenecks.
