Kenza Dali: Aston Villa midfielder set to join San Diego Wave
Aston Villa attacking midfielder Kenza Daly is set to join American club San Diego Waves.
The 33-year-old France international has been ruled out due to his absence from Villa’s squad. Their Women’s Super League draw Against Everton on Saturday.
Daly was in Merseyside for the game but is expected to fly to the United States this week to complete the move.
She has struggled for playing time this season under former head coach Robert DeBow and has been in discussions with the San Diego Surge while Villa interim coach Sean Gott is at the helm.
Since joining Villa from Everton in 2022, Daly has played 67 times for Villa and scored 9 goals.
National Women’s Soccer League side San Diego Waves are coached by former Arsenal boss Jonas Advall, who has been named as the permanent replacement for Casey Stoney January.
The NWSL season begins on March 14th.
