The Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) Conference and Exhibition 2025 will be officially launched on January 28, 2025 at a reception in Luanda. This exclusive gathering will take place at Lookal Beach Club from 18:00-21:00, on the stage of the highly anticipated 6th Angola Oil and Gas Conference, scheduled September 2025.
In 2025, AOG will continue its tradition as Angola’s most important platform for promoting investment, building partnerships and advancing oil and gas projects. The conference is the premier event for global financial institutions and technology providers to unite with Angola’s vast project and investment opportunities, representing the official deal-signing platform for the Angolan oil and gas industry. The next edition will build on the success of previous editions, promising dynamic deal signing opportunities, expanded discussion topics and more collaboration opportunities to drive engagement and drive projects forward.
AOG is Angola’s largest oil and gas event. Conducted with the full support of the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas; the National Institute of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels; the Petroleum Derivatives Regulator; the national oil company Sonangol; and the African Energy Chamber; the event was the occasion for the signing of agreements and promotion of Angolan oil and gas A platform for industry development. Angola’s strategic goal is to maintain crude oil production above 1 million barrels per day after 2027 while expanding the role of natural gas in its energy mix, providing huge growth opportunities for exploration, production and services companies. The country aims to invest more than $60 billion over the next five years, offering a range of onshore and offshore land, from frontier blocks to mature assets to marginal fields and farm opportunities. The 2025 version will follow the launch of the international tender in the first quarter and expected milestones, including the start of operations at the Cabinda refinery, production of Angola’s first non-associated gas project and a final investment decision on the country’s first green hydrogen project. These milestones underline AOG as the preferred platform for advancing Angola’s broad development agenda.
“The AOG conference has become a cornerstone of the oil and gas dialogue in Angola, driving transformative deals and industry collaboration. The year 2025 comes at a critical time for the country, providing opportunities for exploration, production, refining and energy transition projects.
