The electric car maker is offering discounts ranging from $1,600 to $3,270 on 12 Cybertruck models, according to its website. The cheapest Cybertruck is currently selling for as low as $78,390, down from about $80,000 previously. CNBC Reports on Wednesday said the discounts began this week.
Tesla did not immediately respond Investment Encyclopedia Request for comment.
Tesla said earlier this month that it had delivered 495,570 vehicles Fourth-quarter results were higher than a year earlier but below analysts’ expectations. The company did not give a Cybertruck delivery number at the time, but said it delivered 23,640 “other models,” which includes all vehicles except the Model 3 and Model Y.
Tesla shares fell 3.5% intraday on Thursday, after rising 8% the previous day.
