Collins said she will receive A$290,000 (£147,500) for reaching the third round at Melbourne Park, which she will spend on a “five-star trip”.
“Me and a bunch of my girlfriends, we love five-star vacations, so I can guarantee the check will go toward our next five-star trip — hopefully to the Bahamas,” said Collins, who will next face fellow countryman Madison Keys .
“We love boats, we love big boats, we love yachts, so we’ll be posting about that to let you guys know how things are going.”
Collins returned to tennis in early 2025 after previously announcing that he would retire at the end of the 2024 season.
She continues treatment for endometriosis, which may affect her fertility, and told bbc sport May said starting a family is “one of her biggest goals outside of tennis.”
