Best Laptops at CES 2025: Top Picks at the Show From Asus, Lenovo, Acer and More

ASUS ZenBook A14

Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 rollable notebook
The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable achieves a little magic. You can carry it around as a 14-inch laptop, and within seconds of setting it down, it transforms into a nearly 17-inch laptop. When you want to sit down and work, the magic of having a small, portable laptop that extends vertically to a 16.7-inch screen is its rollable display.
Press a button or wave your hand, and the OLED display extends upward and rolls out from under the keyboard, giving you more vertical space. It makes the display unusually tall, but it gives you more space to multitask or view more rows of a spreadsheet. The laptop comes with Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processor and up to 32GB of RAM.

Lenovo has launched a new high-end ThinkPad X9 series with a new design, featuring a grooved bottom panel (for better cooling or easier grip – or both! – it’s unclear) and “engine hubs”, To optimize the cooling of the laptop’s components while keeping the rest of the laptop tidy. The hub also provides easy access to the battery and SSD for service or repair.
The ThinkPad X9 is available with a 14-inch or 15.3-inch display. Both are made of OLED and powered by Core Ultra Series 2 processors. Premium features include an 8-megapixel webcam and a tactile touchpad. The ThinkPad X9 14 is lightweight at 2.7 pounds, and the ThinkPad X9 15 weighs a reasonable 3.2 pounds.
Lenovo Yoga Slim 9i 14 10th generation

Acer Aspire Vero 16
Aspire Vero 16 is the successor of Aspire Vero 16 15.6-inch Vero from a few years ago. The new 16-inch Vero features a more sustainable design, with a chassis made from more than 70% post-consumer recycled plastic and bio-based materials made from oyster shells. According to Acer, this is the first laptop to use an oyster shell in its construction, but its design is similar to the original Vero—a sleek look with a textured surface punctuated by tiny flecks of yellow and grey-blue.
The Aspire Vero 16’s chassis isn’t all sustainability and unusual looks. It’s MIL-STD-810H certified for durability and is very portable for its size, weighing less than 4 pounds, according to Acer. Acer also says the chassis is easy to repair, which is intended to extend its life and delay its time in a landfill. And using Intel’s latest Core Ultra 200H series CPU, it should have a long service life.
HP ZBook Ultra G1a
HP billing ZBook Super G1a Known as “the world’s most powerful 14-inch mobile workstation.” It does look ordinary, but inside is a new AMD Ryzen AI Max Pro processor with up to 16 desktop-class CPU cores and discrete-like integrated graphics, plus up to 128GB of unified memory, 96GB of which GPU ready – incredible for something so small and slim.
