Kayla Rendell: Man Utd set to sign goalkeeper from Southampton
Manchester United are set to sign England youth international Keira Lendl from Women’s Championship side Southampton.
Goalkeeper Lendl, 23, is a product of Southampton’s youth academy and is one of several youngsters to join the WSL through the club.
United have been on the hunt for a goalkeeper since England’s Mary Earps left for Paris Saint-Germain last summer, and Lendl will join current goalkeepers Philon Tulis-Joyce and 20-year-old Safia ·Middleton-Patel’s ranks.
Lendl, who now plays for the England Under-23s, will become Manchester United’s first signing of the January transfer window.
