Ronnie O’Sullivan: Defending champion withdraws from Masters
Defending champion Ronnie O’Sullivan has withdrawn from the Masters due to health reasons.
O’Sullivan, 49, is targeting a record ninth title and is scheduled to face John Higgins in the tournament opener at Alexandra Palace on Sunday.
The Briton’s place in the invitational tournament for the world’s top 16 players will be taken by Neil Robertson.
Like Higgins, the Australian is a two-time Masters champion, most recently in 2022.
