AT&T’s New Guarantee Promises to Compensate Users if There Are Outages
AT&T has a new “guarantee” for its wireless and fiber customers: If their network goes down, you won’t have to pay for same-day service. The new initiative will take effect on January 9 and “applies to fiber customers experiencing an outage of 20 minutes or more and wireless customers experiencing an outage of 60 minutes or more.”
According to AT&T, the carrier’s “coverage outage” refers to “wireless outage lasting 60 minutes or more due to a single event affecting 10 or more towers.” In either case, AT&T says it will automatically provide affected customers with a bill credit “equivalent to a full day of service” if an outage occurs. For wireless customers, the carrier said it will be a credit for each affected line, not just the account.
For small business users, the carrier said it would “reach out” and provide “options to help correct the error.”
AT&T launches new offer after a rough 2024. In February last year, the company A serious power outage occurs This caused many people to lose their insurance; Subsequently offering a $5 account credit as an apology. June Users on their network are having trouble making calls And in August, some AT&T iOS users’ phones are stuck in SOS mode.
