Jonas Eidevall: San Diego Wave appoint former Arsenal manager as head coach
Jonas Eidevall has been named head coach of NWSL team San Diego Wave.
The 41-year-old Swede has signed a three-year contract with the American club Resigned as Arsenal coach in October.
Adwal is the long-term replacement for former England and Arsenal defender Casey Stoney. who was fired in junebefore Paul Barker and Landan Donovan took over on an interim basis.
In October, the club was taken over by a new ownership group, the Levine Leichtman family.

Adwal resigned from his role at Arsenal, who are sixth in the Women’s Super League (WSL), after winning just one of their opening four games in the 2024-25 season.
Previously, he had won the top three in the WSL three times in a row and won the Women’s League Cup three times in a row.
