Marvel Rivals Season 1: Start Date and Everything We Know So Far
marvel rivala new hero shooter based on Marvel Comics characters, is gearing up for the start of its first full season. The free-to-play game launched Season 0 on December 6 and attracted 20 million players in its first few weeks.
Season 0 Lite is expected to end next week, which means we’re about to reach the first full season (13 weeks). As rumors begin to give way to confirmed details, here’s what we know about Season 1, including the season’s official trailer.
Marvel Rivals Season 1 Start Time
The Nightfall trailer states that the season will begin on Friday, January 10 UTC. This most likely means midnight UTC, which is 7pm Eastern Time and 4pm Pacific Time on January 9th.

New Marvel Rivals Heroes for Season 1
Monday’s new trailer gives us a brief look at Fantastic Four ——”Invisible Woman”, “Mr. Fantastic”, “Human Torch” and “The Thing”. They’re a fitting addition to the game, given that the premise of the game is that two Doctor Dooms from different timelines are fighting for control. Heroes are expected to play at least one of each character, giving all players something new to try. (This also helps create hype for new products Fantastic Four movie “The First Step”which will launch this summer. )
There have been a number of other Marvel Rivals leaks recently, including hero models or abilities for characters like Ultron, Emma Frost, and Jean Grey. None of these have been officially confirmed and likely won’t appear in Season 1, but they do provide the game with a healthy content roadmap that will be crucial in keeping players engaged throughout the year.
