Mendefera Sub-Zone Holds Local Elections
The 15 administrative districts of Mendefera subdistrict successfully elected district administrators, managing directors and village coordinators.
The election, held from December 18 to 29, is aimed at replacing outgoing officials who have completed their three-year terms and providing efficient and timely administrative services to the public. A total of 30 individuals, 11 of them women, were elected as district administrators and managing directors and 23 village coordinators.
Mr. Hiskias Wuhbet, District Administrator of Mendefera, commended the strong public participation in the electoral process, noting that pre-election activities were conducted to raise awareness and encourage residents to elect trustworthy representatives .
Mr. Hiskias urged newly elected officials to serve their communities diligently and uphold the trust reposed in them.
Newly elected officials say they are committed to fulfilling their duties and meeting the needs of their constituents.
