President Ramkalawan attends Ministry of Local Government Annual Awards Ceremony
President Wawel Ramkalavan hosted the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs’ annual awards ceremony at the Savoy Resort yesterday evening.
The ceremony recognized exemplary employees from various key departments, including funeral services, security, district management and secretariat, for their outstanding performance throughout the year. Emphasize the government’s commitment to providing excellent public services. Awards are divided into three levels: bronze, silver and gold. The gold medal award ceremony was the climax of the night.
Minister Rose Marie Hoareau addressed the meeting and said the past year had been an “extraordinary” year for the department. She highlighted the collective achievements of staff who have demonstrated resilience, teamwork and a strong determination to pursue department goals. “The dedication shown by our employees has been instrumental in our success,” said Minister Hoaro, expressing deep appreciation for their continued commitment and diligence.
Their outstanding contributions are considered fundamental to the Department’s achievements throughout the year. By recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance, the Government continues to strengthen its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of public service delivery, which ultimately benefits the entire community.
The ceremony was also attended by Chief Secretary Ms Shela Mohideen, Principal Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs Mr Kevin Perrin, Ministry staff and special guests.
