How to Change Your Lock Screen Controls in iOS 18
Apple releases iOS 18.2 On December 11, more than a month after the company launched iOS 18.1. This update brings more Apple Intelligence features, such as Genmon Temple and ChatGPT integrates Sirifor some iPhones. But when Apple released iOS 18 In September, the update gave you the ability to change or remove the flashlight and camera controls on your iPhone’s lock screen.
This is a feature I’ve wanted for a while, and Android devices will get similar functionality in 2023. The option to change and remove lock screen features is a great way to make your iPhone fit your needs and I’m sure it will help Prevent people from accidentally turning on their flashlights.

Here’s how to make your lock screen more useful to you.
How to change iPhone lock screen controls
1. Open set up.
2. tap wallpaper.
3. tap custom made under your lock screen.
This will pull up your lock screen and display a familiar outline around editable items, including the flashlight and camera controls at the bottom of the screen. You can do this by clicking the minus sign (–) sign next to them. After removing one or both controls, click complete in the upper right corner of the screen.
These are just some of the controls you can place on your lock screen.
If you want to add new controls, after removing the flashlight and camera, click the plus sign (+) symbol that appears after removing the control to pull up the Controls menu. This menu shows all the controls you can add to your lock screen, including translations and quick notes.
There is also a control available called “Open Application”. This allows you to select any app on your iPhone and open it directly from the lock screen, even if it’s not a listed control. You still need to unlock your iPhone to access the app, but it makes it easy to open your favorite apps without being distracted by other apps.
After selecting the application to open, click choose In the new menu it will display all your applications. Choose any app – even a game like this Hello Kitty Island Adventure — Then click outside the menu and click complete.
When I say I have Hello Kitty Island Adventure on my lock screen, I mean it.
Now, when you lock your iPhone, you won’t see any controls on the lock screen, or you’ll see the controls you use more often. Now you might randomly open Hello Kitty – oh no, I guess I have to bake a strawberry shortcake for all my friends.
