UGreen Nexode Pro 65W Ultra-Slim 3-Port charger review: a stealthy wall charger with phenomenal portability
UGreen Nexode Pro 65W ultra-thin 3-port charger review
The UGreen Nexode Pro 65W Ultra-Slim 3-Port Charger is a very unique looking wall plug. This ultra-slim charger skips the cubic construction favored by most competitors, making it perfect for use in tight spaces. For example, imagine your desk against the wall or bed – it’s the perfect invisible charger to keep your devices charged even if you’re limited on space.
Of course, the maximum power output of the UGreen Nexode Pro 65W slim 3-port charger (which is quite a mouthful) is… well, 65W. That’ll be enough for many users, with USB-C Port 1 delivering up to 65W of charging power when charging a single device, and 45W when two or three devices are plugged in simultaneously.
When I tested the charging performance, I wasn’t surprised to find that this thing got the job done without any issues. I recharged Samsung Next to Galaxy S24 FE LG Tone Free T90S earplugs and FiiO M11S The high-res music player and Samsung phone went from 0% to full health in about 80 minutes – about as fast as I’d expect from some devices The best iPhone chargers and The best Android phone chargers.
Of course, this might be a bit underpowered if you want to charge three other power-hungry devices (like a modern Chromebook or Macbook) at the same time, especially since USB-C port 2 only delivers a whopping 20W of power in dual-port charging mode – but If you don’t need perfectly optimized power output, that won’t be too much of an issue.
I did notice a few minor issues while charging, though. First of all, this thing is not most After plugging in the UK plug adapter, I moved the USB-C cable a little and noticed that the body of the charger was a bit wobbly. This isn’t a huge issue, but I would prefer a more secure fit. Best of all, the model got quite warm after 30 minutes of charging in single-port charging mode. Again – it’s not the end of the world – this is still a safe charger to use, but if you want top performance with zero glitches, you probably won’t quite Get what you want from this UGreen charger.
Having said that, this model still does a good job of bringing your device back to life. But that’s not where the good stuff ends. The plug is very nicely designed and you can really benefit from the benefits of its almost flat design. It’s only 0.6 inches (16 mm) thick, making it ideal for use on the go and in tight spaces. Best of all, this charger comes with interchangeable plugs for US, UK and EU ports – it doesn’t get better than this for travel. The only potential issue with this charger’s build is that it’s still quite long, so if your outlet is near a surface or ground, it might not be the best fit, especially if the USB port is on the bottom of the charger. But for most environments, it adapts perfectly.
It also comes in an attractive silver color, as do the other plugs in the UGreen Pro range. One positive difference, though, is that the included adapter looks a little more discreet than on other models. Like the other models, this model also uses GaN technology to ensure compactness and energy efficiency. Of course, the use of GaN, the inclusion of three ports, and the fairly high power output means you have to pay quite a bit for this charger. It’s listed at $55.99 / £45.99 (about AU$90), although I’ve seen it on sale for less than $40 / £40 – which is great value. Overall, there’s a lot to like about this slim charger, and it’s my choice among the entire UGreen Nexode Pro range.
