Glasgow City finish 2024 on top of SWPL as Hibs stun Rangers

Glasgow City go into the winter break with a five-point lead at the top of the South West League after beating Dundee United and Hibernian beating second-placed Rangers.

Defending champions Celtic eased past Spartans 5-0, while Montrose climbed out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 win over Queens Park.

Third-placed Hearts drew a goalless draw with Motherwell.

Hearts have played a game more and are now just two points ahead of Edinburgh rivals Hibs, who produced a devastating performance to hand Rangers their second defeat 3-0.
