Fury vs Usyk 2: Tyson Fury unhappy with scorecards

Tyson Fury refuses to accept defeat in his rematch with unified heavyweight champion Alexander Usyk and claims the judges gave him a “Christmas gift”.

All three judges scored 116-112 in favor of Usykthe Ukrainians defeated the Fury for the second time in a row.

Both Fury and his promoter Frank Warren are convinced the Briton has done enough to win the fight in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

“The judges gave him a Christmas present,” Fury said.

“I felt like I won both fights. I knew I had to knock him out, but this is boxing and that happens. I won this fight, no doubt about it.

“Frank (Warren) had me three or four rounds ahead and a lot of guys had me at least two rounds ahead.”

The 36-year-old Fury did not answer any questions in the ring after the game, but chose to go backstage and finally be interviewed by the media.

“I’m not going to cry over spilled milk, that’s over now,” Fury added.

“I’ve been boxing my whole life and I’ve always felt a little bit sick — not a little bit, but a lot.”

Queensbury’s Warren made his disappointment with the result in the ring clear and continued to make a case for Fury’s victory after the fight.

“I was surprised by the way they (the judges) scored,” Warren said.

“His jab is really good, his footwork is really good, he’s not slow. He’s very good at dodging.”

Usyk’s victory extended his perfect record to 23 wins and further cemented his status as one of the greatest players of this generation.

“Uncle Frank, I think he’s blind,” Usyk said.

“If Tyson says it’s a Christmas present, well, thank God, not Tyson. Thank my team.”
