Droyd Fury Review: 4-Wheel Fun for Young Ones
The first thing we looked at was $519 Droyd Fury at Toy Fair 2023 ahead of launch. My then 10 year old daughter took it for a quick spin around the showroom and immediately asked for a sample, which led us to this review.
The Droyd Fury is an all-terrain vehicle designed for children ages 6 and up, but is durable enough to carry adults. It’s compact (40 x 24 x 24 inches) and easily fits through a doorway or into the back of our SUV.
The build quality is as durable as one would expect from a product designed for children. The top of the unit is mostly plastic, but the metal frame underneath gives it a solid feel and provides a sturdy lifting point.

While it may feel small to kids ages 8 to 10, they can move around easily as long as their weight is under the 150-pound limit. While it can support the weight of two small children, that’s not its intended use. I also recommend wearing a helmet while riding.
The Fury arrives well packaged and approximately 80% assembled. The instructions are simple and the Fury is ready to go in about 10 minutes. It arrived fully charged, so we did a quick test to make sure everything was fine before plugging it back in. It takes about 6-8 hours to fully charge after it is completely depleted.
For a more authentic feel, the Fury comes with a keyed ignition for starting and a separate parent key for adjusting top speed. Younger riders can get the Fury moving with a traditional twist of the throttle. Parents can also use the key to lock the Fury’s top speed to 10 mph, or unlock it to a maximum of 15 mph. Additionally, front and rear lights illuminate from fender to fender, making the Fury clearly visible in low light. These can be turned on and off via buttons on the handlebars. With front and rear disc brakes, we found the vehicle’s braking capabilities should be safe and reliable in most weather conditions. The Fury is equipped with wide, knobby tires that provide good traction off-road, and front and rear suspension, making it perfect for the adventurous.
Everyone in my family – my daughter, son and partner – gave it a try except me (as I was well over the weight limit). My partner’s reaction was “that’s so cool”, my daughter loved it, although my teenage son tried to be cool despite being too big. Depending on the size of the rider, the Fury can travel 8 to 10 miles on a full charge, providing approximately 45 minutes to an hour of riding time.
The Dloyd Fury is perfect for encouraging children to enjoy the outdoors from an early age. It’s especially suitable for families with parents or older siblings riding ATVs, ensuring no one is left behind. Its compact size makes it easy to transport, especially if you own an SUV, making it a great travel companion.
