BBC’s Rosenberg challenges Putin on his 25-year rule of Russia
BBC Russia editor Steve Rosenberg has questioned whether Vladimir Putin has “looked after” Russia during his 25-year rule.
During the president’s annual year-end news conference, Rosenberg reminded Putin that his predecessor, Boris Yeltsin, told him to take care of the country when he handed over power.
Putin responded by saying Russia had “restored its sovereignty.”
