Dillian Whyte stops Ebenezer Tetteh in seventh round of comeback
Dillian Whyte secured victory at the end of the seventh round in Gibraltar by knocking out Ebenezer Tetteh.
The former WBC interim world heavyweight champion punched and kicked the Ghanaian, forcing him to retire.
The 36-year-old is competing for the first time since his career Defeated Christian Hammer in Ireland in March, He looked sharp when he rocked Tate with a right hand in the fourth round.
The 36-year-old from Accra came out with a bloody nose in the fifth round and was asked if he wanted to continue before the start of the next round before withdrawing after the bell of round seven.
“I’m glad Tate stepped up, he was strong,” White said. “I need the rounds, I need to get used to the rhythm of the rounds and using my jab.
“I’ve had a long break and only played three rounds in my last fight.
“I was angry in the last fight, so I just went out there and killed people and didn’t use my boxing skills.”
