Seven tourists in Fiji hospital with suspected alcohol poisoning
Seven tourists in Fiji were taken to hospital with suspected alcohol poisoning and are reported to be in critical condition.
They are believed to have experienced nausea, vomiting and neurological symptoms shortly after drinking cocktails at a resort bar on Saturday night local time.
Four of the seven people are Australian and range in age from 18 to 56, local media reported, citing the Ministry of Health.

The Fijian tourists were reportedly staying at a resort on the Coral Coast and were initially taken to Sigatoka Hospital.
They were all later transferred to Lautoka Hospital, The Fiji Times reported.
A spokesman for Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs told the BBC that two Australian families in Fiji were receiving consular assistance.
