‘I get to yell at that kid again!’
Life may be unfair, but things are looking up for fans of The Malcom Family — the TV sitcom is making a comeback.
To the familiar shouts of “Malcolm!,” actors Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek posted a video on social media announcing the show’s return on Friday.
They play the dysfunctional parents of a highly intelligent teenager who first appeared on our screens some 25 years ago.
The sitcom ended in 2006 and ran for a total of 151 episodes, during which time it won several Emmy Awards. The band behind the show’s opening theme song “Boss of Me,” which ends with the lyrics “Life’s unfair,” also won a Grammy.
“I’ve been waiting for this moment for 18 years,” said Frankie Muniz, who once again stars as the series’ lead. “Let’s see where Malcolm and his family are now.”
Disney+ has commissioned four new episodes based on the storyline of Malcolm and his daughter “When Hal (Cranston) and Lois (Kazmarek) ask Malcolm to attend their During their 40th wedding anniversary party, they are drawn back into the chaos of their family.”
Cranston received rave reviews after show For his performance in the crime drama Breaking Badsaid he was happy to be back.
Kaczmarek added: “I’m so excited to shout out to that kid again!
“We’re excited to get together again and see what the family is up to.”
An air date for the new episodes has yet to be determined.
