Thirteen people needed hospital treatment after two double-decker buses collided near the city centre.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said no one was seriously injured after a crash involving two Bee Network buses on Rochdale Road, near Leafsey Street, Manchester.
Images showed debris strewn across the highway, with one vehicle appearing to hit the back of another vehicle.
A GMP spokesman said the road remained closed while emergency services were at the scene.
Police were called to the scene at around 08:30 GMT.
Manchester City Councilor Pat Karney, who was present at the time Posted on X said the front of the bus had suffered “incredible damage”.
