Eritrea: Public Diplomacy Activities by Diaspora Nationals

Nationals in Australia, the United States and Italy have conducted a series of public diplomacy.
Eritreans in Melbourne, Australia held an open seminar on March 15 to discuss the objective situation of the motherland, regional and global development.
During the workshop, Mr. Mehari Tekeste, Consul General of Eritrea, gave an extensive presentation on the importance of strengthening organizational capacity and unity in numerous briefings. He also called for increased participation and contribution to state affairs.
Eritreans in the northern United States held their annual Congress in Seattle on March 15, where they presented reports on achievements and challenges.
Mr. Chargé D’Affaire, Mr. Berhane Gebrehiwet of the Eritrea Embassy, held a workshop entitled “Works to Implement the National Commitment” and encouraged nationals to support ongoing national development plans.
A similar workshop was held in Oregon, where Mr. Berhane Gebrehiwet introduced the participants to the development of the land and the wider regional and global environment.
Participants in the workshop made financial contributions to the construction of a school in Akordet.
