England player ratings: How players played in Thomas Tuchel’s first game
Jordan Pickford: Almost no saving. His distribution is as always. 6
Kyle Walker: He was selected as the right back in the four-man defense and won England’s width in the offense. His experience helped to object to two debutants. A major interception, but it’s hard to judge on defense, because he doesn’t have much to deal with. 6
Ezri Consa: The back was very neat, handling several Albanian attacks when asked and continued to do well on an international level. Prior to the 2026 World Cup, it was an active starter under the leadership of the new manager. 7
And burn: The first England began to cover Newcastle’s defender with dreams for weeks. Overall, he was solid and made several key obstacles. After blocking a shot in the first half, there were several nervous moments and minor misunderstandings about Pickford, but then dealt with the danger. Declan Rice: The deepest midfielder, and there is no real test on defense. The ball was handed over to the attacker and the game continued. A clever pass sets Kane’s goal. 7
Curtis Jones: Jones is only the third start, but shows in the flash why he is a big part of the Liverpool midfield this season. Link the scripts together nicely and hopefully enter the box where possible. Quiet second half before being replaced in the 74th minute. 6
Phil Foot: The Manchester City man played a quiet performance in the unfortunate position on the right wing. There is no doubt about talent, but he found it difficult to defend the Albanian side deep in his performance. 5
Jude Bellingham: A wonderful pass to Lewis-Skelly’s opening game. He hopes to make things happen with a pass or a player who drags the ball past. 7
Marcus Rashford: It has a good connection with Bellingham on the left and hopes to beat his defender when the opportunity comes. He also did his best, which was something Tuchel wanted him to show. Take off after quiet in the second half. 6
Harry Kane: The imminent and high directions are clear, much different from the Kane that England saw on the euro last summer. The excellent touch and end of his trademark goal shows why he is still the captain and first choice. 7
