DoorDash Partners With Klarna So Diners Can Put Food Delivery On Installments
Food delivery service Doordash Say on ThursdaY It has partnered with financial services company Klarna to offer the company’s payment plan, which means someone orders food delivery can be paid in an installment plan. When Doordash customers check out, Klarna will appear as a dim sum option and they can choose to pay in full, pay with four free equivalent payments, or postpone payments to a later time.
“As we expand Doordash’s products – from groceries and beauty to electronics and gifts – flexible payment methods are essential to meeting the needs of our customers,” Anand Subbarayan, head of Money Products at Doordash, said in a statement.
The statement said the Klarna option will appear “in the next few months.”
Doordash’s representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Doordash competitors grubhub therefore uses klarna As a payment option.
Not all reactions are about the idea that people might have to pay for food or other Doordash delivery in an installment plan.
