Alisson: Liverpool goalkeeper leaves Brazil camp after ‘suspected concussion’

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker returns to the club after “suspecting concussion” in his international duties with Brazil.

The 32-year-old was replaced in a 2-1 World Cup qualifying victory over Colombia on Friday after having an annoying head with former Tottenham defender Davinson Sanchez on Friday.

Alison will now be returned to Merseyside by Liverpool medical staff for evaluation.

After the game, Brazil’s team Rodrigo Lasmar said: “Alisson suffered a head injury and was replaced by suspected concussion.”

“We will now follow the CBF protocol and he will be subject to the recommended…test.

“If all tests are normal, we will continue to perform cognitive testing. Then we will evaluate the players.

“He was normal and had no complaints. He did not report any fainting or memory loss.”

Arrison will definitely miss Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier in Argentina, but Liverpool hopes he will get his first game after an international breakthrough – against Everton at Anfield on April 1.

Currently, Arne Slot’s team ranks 12 points at the top of the Premier League table with nine games remaining.
