UK to host new Ukraine peacekeeping talks

Watch: Prime Minister Keir Starmer visits British nuclear-weapon submarines earlier this week

The UK will hold a closing meeting on Thursday, which is a senior officer from the Voluntary Alliance that has formulated plans for Ukraine’s peacekeeping forces.

It is believed that more than 20 countries are involved.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is expected to attend Thursday afternoon after his first visit to Barrow, where he will place the keel of one of Britain’s next-generation nuclear-weapon submarines.

The plans for the Western Peacekeeping Force in Ukraine are said to be in development.

Senior officers from the “Willing Alliance” country led by Britain and France will discuss how this will work in practice when they gather at the permanent joint headquarters in Northwood, England.

But there are still some major obstacles.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow will not tolerate the existence of any NATO member of Ukraine, regardless of its role.

The United States is also unwilling to provide the necessary air cover that potential members say they need.

Sir Kyle is expected to be part of the conference after his first visit to Barrow, where he will attack Keel at HMS Dreadnought, one of the next generation of ballistic nuclear submarines.

Sir Kyle will say during his visit to the town that Barrow is a “blueprint” of how defense spending can benefit the community.

He wants to announce that the king has agreed to award Barrow the title of “Royal” in recognition of his contribution to national security.

Earlier, he visited the crew of HMS Vanguard, one of the British nuclear submarines, and returned to Scotland after patrolling the North Atlantic waters.

The Prime Minister told reporters that the Kremlin respects Britain’s nuclear arsenal because “we have our own independent deterrent force and we are committed to NATO.”

“It’s obviously important that they thank it for being a reliable capability,” he said. “It’s certainly.”

Defence Secretary John Healey joined the Prime Minister during his visit, highlighting the government’s “unshakable” commitment to Britain’s nuclear deterrence, which he called “the ultimate guarantor of our national security and the security of NATO allies.”
