Strand crash victim Aalia Mahomed ‘a beautiful soul’, family says

A woman who died in a plane crash in central London on Tuesday was appointed Aalia Mahomed, 20, according to Metropolitan Police.

Her family paid tribute to her, describing her as “a beautiful soul that brings joy and laughter to everyone.”

Three other people were injured after hitting a van pedestrian at about 11:40 GMT, near King’s College London and Somerset Building in Aldevich.

Metropolitans say the 26-year-old van driver was arrested on the scene of the death caused by alleged careless driving and drug driving crimes and was released on bail as the investigation continues.

Her family’s statement added: “She is the sunshine in our lives and her family and friends will be deeply missed.

“Her light will always be in our memory, and her smile will become our strength as we go through this difficult time.”

Her family is supported by professional officials.

A 27-year-old woman is still in a serious but lifeless condition, while a 23-year-old man is discharged after receiving treatment in the hospital.
