Putin would ‘breach’ Ukraine deal if it is not defended, says Sir Keir Starmer

Sir Keir Starmer said after attending a meeting of senior military leaders in London that Russian President Vladimir Putin would violate the peace agreement with Ukraine if he did not defend.

The British Prime Minister said any agreement would cease the fight between Russia and Ukraine and would only be “lasting” if there were “security arrangements”.

He spoke at a military base in Northwood, northwest London, where more than 20 countries gathered to discuss on Thursday Ukrainian forces’ proposal to help ensure the security of the country as part of the peace agreement.

Sir Kyle said Britain and its allies were moving from “political momentum” to “military plans”, which he said was “to be done now” before the agreement was reached.

“We do this work very important because we can be sure of one thing, it’s a deal Putin violated.

“We know, because this happened before. I absolutely know in my mind that it will happen again.”

British Defense Minister John Healey attended the closing meeting of military leaders from the country Sir Keir called the “Coalition of Will”.

Britain convened a meeting of military chiefs after 26 countries attended the summit earlier this month.

Potential deployment of troops Should be described as “reliance force” rather than “peacekeeping force”Defense and diplomatic sources said.

Sir Keir told reporters during a visit to Cumbria that the focus of the negotiations was on how to “keep the boundaries of the sky, the ocean and Ukraine safe”.

Meanwhile, Zelensky said during a visit to Norway Russia “must stop making unnecessary demands to extend only war”.

The phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump, Putin and Ukrainian President Vodimir Zelensky failed to generate the 30-day ceasefire envisioned by the White House.

Zelensky said Ukrainian officials will meet with their U.S. counterparts in Saudi Arabia next Monday after the Kremlin confirmed that the U.S. and Russia had talks there that day.
