Pedestrian dies after being hit by police car in Acocks Green Birmingham
West Midlands police said a pedestrian died after being hit by a police car on a 999 phone call in Birmingham.
The 40-year-old was attacked before 19:00 on Yardley Road, near the junction of Florence Road in Acocks Green, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The force said the man’s family had been informed and supported.
Police said officials are responding to a report that a man was carrying a knife on Warwick Road.
The unit said two officers in the vehicle were not injured and were in contact with the independent office where pedestrians died.
It attracts anyone with information, including dashboard lenses, to stand up.
