UFC London: Leon Edwards says he ‘owes the fans’ in the UK after losing title to Belal Muhammad

Edwards’ round with 32-year-old Brady, who is fifth in the welterweight category, is his first failure in nearly 10 years.

His previous defeat in 2015 was a confrontation against Kamaru Usman before being defeated by Muhammad.

“I think the loss has been under pressure. I’ve been walking for nearly 10 years without a fight – now I’m just going there and don’t have to worry about beating any records.”

“I’m chasing GSP records, but now I’m happy with myself – I’m an experienced veteran who can go there to perform and show the world my best version.”

Brady’s match against Edwards was short after Jack Della Maddalena withdrew from the fight against Muhammad in May.

He beat Gilbert Burns in his final show in September to enter the game with a two-win streak.
