Kyoto’s Ecosys P2235DN is a compact mono Laser printerdesigned for medium-purpose in groups or enterprise. It’s priced at a good price, with 250 cartons and 100 pages of versatile feeds, and comes with duplex printing as standard. It also comes with Gigabit Ethernet Port, but no Wifi Support; you need P2235DW.
Most laser manufacturers consider optoelectronic drums to be an easy-to-use, usually time-consuming of 10,000 to 40,000 pages, but Kyoto is suitable for ceramic drums, designed to extend the lifespan of the printer. In this case, there are 100,000 pages. The drums can be guaranteed to achieve this, or last for three years, but in the UK, the printer itself receives a one-year RTB warranty.
The P2235DN has a basic control panel that includes some lights and buttons, so it’s strange that it also has a USB host port that is usually paired with text or touch screen so you can browse and select what you want to print. We searched Kyocera’s website and documentation and tried different file and button combinations, checked in the driver and combed through the Web Admin page, but couldn’t see how to print it directly at all.
Use our trustworthy Personal computerWe performed the usual print job on P2235DN. This is a fast device, with the first page of text appearing in 17 seconds and continuing at 28.8ppm during a 25-page assignment. It extends it to 29.4ppm on a 50-page document, and even reaches 12.5 ipm when duplex printing prints the sides of ten graphics onto five pages. In our challenging 24-page graphical test, we were impressed by its 27.7ppm.
Sadly, P2235DN seems to be too anxious. We rarely criticize the quality of text in lasers, but the character close-up overview is not as clear as we expected. More importantly, mono Graphics Being bound by finesse, we usually only expect on the cheapest laser devices.
This bland print quality will make the P2235DN shine when considering its running cost of 1.8p per page. If speed is important, this is a good choice, but there are no other suggestions.
